Nadim Amer joined AMAT in February 2019. His roles in the team are to assist the outreach and capacity development activities of AMAT, implement financial monitoring, liaise with partners and assist in the mapping of global activities pertaining to safe and secure management of ammunition.
Before joining AMAT, Mr. Amer operated as Programme Officer in GICHD’s Regional Cooperation Programme. Before GICHD, he worked at Geneva Call, supporting the programme managers in donor relations, finances and the implementation of projects in the Near and Middle East Region. He was also with the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces where he helped to develop and implement security sector reform projects in the Middle East. Mr. Amer is also an officer within the Swiss Armed Forces, serving as a language specialist officer in fulfilment of his national service. He masters three languages: French, Arabic and English.
Mr. Amer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Public Management and Policy from the University of Lausanne.
